Energy Industries Sheds Light on Northwest Harvest in Seattle!
SEATTLE, WA – Energy Industries announced today that it has partnered with General Electric to donate an energy efficient and renewable lighting system to the Northwest Harvest Cherry Street branch in Seattle. The donated system has a retail value of over $2,200. In addition to the donation, Energy Industries employees volunteered their time and services to installing these new lighting system. The new installed system will generate a savings of $300 annually and is a 40% reduction in lighting energy!
For years, Energy Industries employees have seen the tremendous service Northwest Harvest has provided for the public. “Helping an outstanding organization that helps our community is the right thing to do,” said Jay Filer, Regional Vice President of Energy Industries. “We wanted to give something to Northwest Harvest to help make their jobs a little easier and ‘brighter’, said Sam Nisco, Regional Manager of Sales.
Northwest Harvest is the only statewide relief agency in Washington. The Cherry Street branch located in downtown Seattle, supplies 18 million pounds of food for distribution through various warehouses all over the country. The great work that the Northwest Harvest network does provides an average of over half a million food services to people in need every month.
