Energy Industries Corporation promotes Duane Ashimine to President
Honolulu, HI. — October 29, 2013 – Energy Industries Corporation, one of America’s largest energy efficiency integrators, announced that it has promoted Duane Ashimine to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer.
Duane will have overall responsibilities for the day to day activities of the company’s operations covering Washington State, Idaho, Portland, California, Hawaii and Guam. Prior to his promotion, Duane served as the Executive Vice President and the Chief Technology Officer of Energy Industries Corporation. Duane joined Energy Industries Corporation in 1998.
Before joining Energy Industries Corporation, Duane was an Energy Engineer at Hawaiian Electric Industries Power Corp., an energy services company, and a Project Manager at Alakai Mechanical. He earned his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hawaii and is a Certified Energy Manager from the Association of Energy Engineers and a licensed Hawaii Mechanical Contractor.
The energy efficiency industry has steadily grown over the past several decades and with energy costs increasing the industry is now poised for rapid growth. According an Energy Efficiency Report in March 2010, McKinsey identified energy efficiency savings in the US to be worth more than $1.2 trillion annually.
